Actor Abhay Deol shares the time he met Robert De Niro and Martin Scorsese during the Tribeca Film Festival

Over the course of the lockdown, actor Abhay Deol is reminiscing about many of his old films. Deol recently shared a memory from 2009 when he was at the Tribeca Film Festival. Deol revealed that his film 'Road, Movie' was screening at the film festival. Deol also recalled the special moment when he met Hollywood legends Robert De Niro and filmmaker Martin Scorsese.

Abhay shared a poster of his old film and captioned it writing, "Road, Movie, released in 2009. It went to the Tribeca film festival where I got the opportunity to meet with both Martin Scorsese and Robert De Niro! Made the summer heat of Rajasthan in which we shot totally worth it."

Abhay also said that his film in India was considered a simple art house film and thus quickly forgotten. He wrote saying, "This one was, and still is, waaaaaay too art house for the Indian market. Fun fact- I drove an old 50's truck through the streets of Jaipur and even took a sharp U-turn on a narrow street. "Why do I remember that? You should try it! Directed by Dev Benegal. #makingwhatbollywouldnt"

Just last week Deol also shared his experience of shooting for Anurag Kashyap's DevD. After the death of actor Sushant Singh Rajput Deol has also shared his personal vendetta against nepotism in Bollywood. Deol recalled the time he was ignored by award ceremonies across India for his role in the hit film Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara. He said that only Hrithik Roshan was nominated for Best Actor in a Lead Role.
