For a while, Radhika Apte
was one of those celebrity faces who would appear in just about every Netflix special release. From Sacred Games to Badla, Radhika Apte made her mark on the digital media. However, Apte has not done another film or show in a while now. In a recent interview with The New Indian Express Group, Apte has revealed more insight into her break from work. She said, "After working round the clock for eight years, it feels good to not have FOMO, and relax. I have nothing to complain about personally, but what’s happening around is quite disconcerting." Apte is currently spending her time in London amid the lockdown.
"Contrary to what most people say about not being able to do anything, I feel that not having to be anywhere lets me do whatever I want. I want to do nothing," she added. Radhika also revealed that she is working on various film scripts in the meantime. Speaking about her upcoming short film starring Shahana Goswami and Gulshan Devaiah. She said, "We just got into an international competition, but let’s see; I don’t know what will happen with it yet."
Radhika Apte also revealed that she thinks Bollywood is unfair with its casting roles. She said, "I might be generalising, but in India, we compromise when it comes to actors."
“It is frustrating that appearances and networking lands more work, than actual skill-honing. The lockdown has made me wonder what I really want do. A career-change might not be that bad. Start a restaurant maybe,” she added.
