After the success of Evaru, actor Adivi Sesh is now working on his next feature Major. This is a biographical drama of Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan who lost his life during the 26/11 Mumbai attacks. The shoot of Major got started a few months back. Currently, all the works are on hold due to the lockdown. Meanwhile, Sesh shared that he spoke with Sandeep's father Unnikrishnan the other day. The actor added that the conversation was an emotional reminder of how important this film is to them.
Sesh took on Twitter to share the news. He wrote, 'A beautiful conversation with Unnikrishnan uncle yesterday Felt good. An emotional reminder of how important this film is to us. Can’t wait to get back on set once we are given official permissions. @MajorTheFilm #MajorSandeepUnnikrishnan.' For those who are unaware, Sandeep Unnikrishnan was an Indian Army Major who served for National Security Guards. He lost his life while fighting the terrorists during the 2008 Mumbai attacks.
Major is being directed by Sashi Kiran Thikka, who made an impressive debut with the 2018 spy thriller Goodachari. It is being produced jointly by GMB Entertainments and Sony Pictures. Sobhita Dhulipala is playing an important role in the movie. She had earlier acted with Sesh in Goodachari. The film is being made as a Telugu-Hindi bilingual. It will hit the screens next year. After wrapping up this movie, Sesh will start shooting for his next film Goodachari 2.
