The ongoing situation of the pandemic has affected many industries worldwide. While some are severely affected, others are managing to cope up. However, one of the highly affected artists includes the dancers in the Bollywood industry, who haven't been able to thrive due to lack of work. In order to support such dancers, Varun Dhawan has extended his helping hand. Raj Surani, a former background dancer told a leading daily, "Varun Dhawan has helped the needy dancers. He has worked with a lot of them in three dance films. He was very concerned about how the dancers are managing their livelihood. He promised to help them and try and address their problems."
Earlier, Sidharth Malhotra and Shahid Kapoor had helped some of the dance troops for the same reasons. They directly transferred money to their accounts and promised to support them through these difficult times. Raj added, "There are many dancers who continue to face issues with their landlords over rent. There are others who have ailing parents and there are seniors who need medicine from time to time. We are thankful to all those who are helping the dancers. Though shooting has begun but dancers will have to wait for a really long time before they can go back on sets.
Varun Dhawan is very close to the dance industry, especially after he became a part of two of the biggest dance films of Bollywood, ABCD2 and Street Dancer 3D.
