Amitabh Bachchan is undoubtedly one of the most active twitter users. In his decades-long career, the actor has done all sorts of films. Many of these films went on to become blockbusters and are still remembered as cult classics. These include Sholay and Amar Akbar Anthony among others. On Wednesday morning Amitabh Bachchan took to Twitter to share various throwback pictures of himself from the sets of Amar Akbar Anthony. Celebrating the film's 43rd anniversary Amitabh Bachchan recalled the time his kids came to visit him in the middle of a shoot.
Amitabh Bachchan is seen in a monochrome picture where he plants a cute kiss on Shweta Bachchan as Abhishek Bachchan sits on his lap. He captioned it writing, "SHWETA and Abhishek visit me on the set of Amar Akbar Anthony .. shooting the song ‘My name is Anthony Gonsalves’ .. at Holiday Inn Ball Room .. this pic on the beachfront ..43 YEARS of AAA, today .. !!! When Manji came to narrate the idea to me .. and told me the Title .. I thought he had lost it .. at a time in the ’70s when film titles revolved around Behen Bhabhi and Beti, this one was so out of place .. BUT (sic)."
He further added, "It is reported that it did a business of 7.25 cr at that time .. inflation-adjusted it crosses collections of Bahubali 2 .. say the sayers who do calculations But the fact is it did massive business .. did 25 weeks in 25 theatres in Mumbai alone .. or so they say ..Doesn’t happen now ... gone are those days (sic)."
On the work front, Amitabh Bachchan is next going to star in Gulabo Sitabo alongside Ayushmann Khurrana. Shoojit Sircar's film is a comedy-drama set to premiere on Amazon Prime Video on June 12.
