Anushka's Nishabdham got U/A certificate from the censor board; Director Hemanth gives much-awaited update on film's release

From the last few days, it is being speculated that Anushka's upcoming thriller Nishabdham is going to opt for a direct digital release. As many films that are lying under cans are going for an OTT release, reports claimed that Nishabdham is also joining the list. The makers are denying these rumors every now and then. But it seems like there is no end to the reports. Now, the director of the film, Hemant Madhukar shared that the censor board has given U/A certificate for the film. He also added that the board members suggested he release the film first in theaters.

Earlier today, Hemant tweeted, 'Both our films #Nishabdham Telugu and #silence given U/A censor certificate. I am overwhelmed by the response of the #cencorboard panel members. My sincere thanks to them for there advice to release the film first in theatre.'

A few days back, the film's producer Kona Venkat also responded to the rumors. He tweeted, 'Lot of speculations r being made on the release of our film NISHABDHAM in the media. We would like to clarify that Theatrical release is our top PRIORITY. If the situation isn’t favorable for a long time then our alternate would be to release on the OTT platform. Hope for the best.'

Madhavan, Anjali, Shalini Pandey, Subbaraju, and Srinivas Avasarala played the other important roles in the film. Hollywood actor Micheal Madsen also essayed a key role in it. More details on the film's release will be out once the situation gets back to normalcy.
