I dont need anyone's approval regarding my work says Priyanka Upendra. She also confesses I am still here or I am coming back or I want more will not exist in my dictionary.
She recently wrapped up shoot for Howrah Bridge directed by Lohith. This film is touted to the pyschological thriller as per Priyanka and also makers applied for the censor. This movie also marks debut for Priyanka Upendra's daughter Aishwarya. Makers are eyeing to release movie in April. Lohith worked extremely as far as content is concerned. He is immensely passionate person and very dedicated towards his craft which is very rare these days. He has very detailed analysis about every segment relating to the subject matter, he filmed about one and half years to complete this movie. We had a beautiful schedule in Kolkata, the way he canned awesomeness of the city is just fantastic says Priyanka.
Priyanka was approached for a Tamil film, however we are still in talks once everything is finalised will come up with an official announcement. Plans are going on for Mummy sequel. I will only intimate my decision only after the release of Howrah Bridge. I am just curious about the audience reaction regarding Howrah Bridge.
We can witness drastic change in kind of movies made, taste of audience. I also feel the borderline of Hero, Heroine seperation is also vanished. I dont want to play those typical mother, mother in law, sister in law or just being hero's wife. If the script is good and the role is really interesting i would love to be part of it. We usually see the movies which are either hero or heroine centric, there are some new genre movies in which the characters has importance, the best example in recent times is Andhadhun. I am totally into that kinda of work.
When I was young I used to work take up every work that I was offered. Now the times have changed. I want to do movies for my fans, for my family especially in the roles they want to see me in and also which helps me grow in creatively. As far as my role is appealing, it does not matter if its a feature movie or short film or TV series.
