Of late, Taapsee Pannu has been doing a lot of female-oriented films. Last year, she came up with four films and all of them turned out to be super hits at the box office. One of them is the Tamil-Telugu horror-thriller Game Over. Directed by Ashwin Saravanan, this film proved to be a successful venture. Today, it celebrates one year of its release. On this occasion, Taapsee shared a throwback picture from the sets and reminisced the memories of the movie.
In the picture, we can see Ashwin explaining the scene to Taapsee. She captioned it, "Whatever is that we are trying to do Ashwin I sincerely hope we don’t end up making Swapna a spin bowler for a part 2. #1YearOfGameOver. @ashwin.saravanan @kaavyaramkumar @sash041075 @studiosynot."
Game Over deals with the story of a girl named Swapna who is a game designer. She suffers from a post-traumatic stress disorder and also fears the dark. Her life takes a serious turn when a serial killer enters the house. Director Ashwin treated the screenplay as a game and there will be different levels in it. This new attempt connected well with the audiences. Taapsee also gave her best in playing the role of a physically-challenged person who is having panic attacks. The film had a simultaneous release in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi. It got produced by Y Not Studios and Reliance Entertainments. The makers have also confirmed that there will be a sequel for the movie.
