Ayushmann Khurrana has delivered many successful films one after another in the recent past. With films like Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan, and Article 15 the actor has proven that he is not afraid of choosing difficult themes. One film that is very close to his heart is the 2018 film Andhadhun. Sriram Raghavan's comedy crime thriller film starred Ayushmaan Khurrana as a blind piano player who finds himself amidst a murder case.
On Tuesday Ayushmaan Khurrana wished Sriram Raghavan on his birthday. The actor took to Instagram to share a picture with the film-maker. Raghavan is seen holding a fake gun near Ayushmann's head. The actor captioned his birthday post writing, "Happy bday Sriram sir. So when are we “shooting” next? Ahem.”
Speaking to Hindustan Times Ayushmann Khurrana said, "Andhadhun is a rare treat, a film so compelling that it may universally be considered irresistible. The theatre howled in unison. This is as it should be. We must remember Alfred Hitchcock made funny films.”
Andhadhun was directed for a meagre sum of just Rs. 32 crores. The film made over hundreds of crores at the box office. Andhadhun also did extremely well at the Chinese box office. On Monday Ayushmaan Khurrana took to Instagram to wish Article 15 director Anubhav Sinha. He wrote, "Happy bday @anubhavsinhaa sir! Thank you for #Article15 I look forward to some more legendary stuff this year."
Ayushmann Khurrana is spending his time in lockdown with his lovely wife Tahira Kashyap at their mumbai home. Khurrana last appeared in the digital release film Gulabo Sitabo. Shoojit Sircar's Gulabo Sitabo also stars Amitabh Bachchan.
