BJP MLA Nandkishore Gurjar wants Virat Kohli to divorce his wife Anushka Sharma for producing Paatal Lok

Anushka Sharma's Paatal Lok has received all sorts of reactions. Many fans and critics from across the country have appreciated the groundbreaking reality portrayed by the show. However many politicians have taken a strong stance against Paatal Lok for various reasons. Among others is BJP MLA Nandkishore Gurjar. Gurjar previously filed a complaint against the show for using his image without consent. Now in a bizarre twist, Gurjar has demanded that Virat Kohli must immediately divorce his wife Anushka Sharma for producing Paatal Lok. In a recent conversation with Newsroom Post Gurjar said, "Virat Kohli desh bhakt hai, desh ke liye khele hai. Anushka ko talak de dena chahiye (Virat is a patriot. He has played for the nation. He should divorce Anushka)." The real image was taken in March 2018. The picture features UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath with various MLAs including Nandkishore Gurjar. Paatal Lok has used a morphed version of the same image. The show edited the face of Yogi Adityanath and replaced him with a fictional corrupt politician known as Balkrishna Bajpayee. Anushka Sharma has not yet replied to any of the controversy surrounding the show. The actress and producer has however thanked the audience for the phenomenal response. She has also hinted at a sequel of Paatal Lok coming up soon. She said, "You have to wait and watch to know more about season two. I don’t want to divulge too much but let’s just say it’s quite possible. It’s too early to talk about it but yes if Amazon is willing to do it, definitely there will be a second season. We have always stayed true to stories that we want to tell and we will continue to do that. We hope for similar appreciation in the future as well."
