Actor Ravi Teja is in dire need of a hit. His last success came in 2017 with the film Raja The Great. After that, he made four films and all of them turned out to be flops. To strike back hard, Ravi lined up a series of interesting projects. One of them is with director Trinadha Rao Nakkina. The latest buzz from the tinsel town says that this movie is going to be a remake of Chiranjeevi's old film Chantabbai.
Chantabbai is a 1986 film directed by Jandhayala. It is a comedy detective drama that featured Chiru and Suhasini in the lead roles. The story revolves around a detective who gets the case of finding the long-lost brother of a lady. The film is a family entertainer with a lot of commercial elements. It was a big hit in those times. According to the sources, Trinadha Rao thought to make a few changes to the film to suit the present sensibilities of the audiences. He made the changes and narrated the script to Ravi Teja. The actor liked it a lot and gave an immediate nod to the project.
The shooting of this film will begin either by the end of this year or early next year. Ravi Teja is currently waiting for the release of his next film Krack. Apart from that, he is also doing another film with Veera director Ramesh Varma.
