Russo in an interview with USA Today says that "I think it was more emotional for him than us because he's not done yet,". "And I won't explain what that means, but audiences will soon understand what I'm talking about."
Russo co-directed Evans as Captain America with Anthony in 2014's Captain America: The Winter Soldier, 2016's Captain America: Civil War, Infinity War, and its sequel. Russo has worked with the actor more than any other director.
