Even as the Tamil censor board went ahead to certify NOTA U, it looks like our Telugu censors had quite a lot of issues before going ahead with the film’s certification. Apparently, a few cuts alongside muting of certain dialogues were suggested before giving the film a go ahead.
The Tamil-Telugu bilingual political drama, directed by Anand Shankar stars Mehreen as the female lead and went to the Telugu censor board’s members on Monday and apparently they thought the film has potential to create controversy. Well, political dramas do send out a statement always.
Meanwhile, everyone is gearing up for the release of NOTA on October 5 with premieres on October 4. This will be the biggest release for Vijay across the US with over 220 screens in place.
