Chennai Corporation Commissioner confirms Rajinikanth had E-pass during his recent trip to Chengalpattu
Rajinikanth's trip to his farmhouse created a lot of buzz on social media and people came up with criticism to the officials of the corporation but the clarity from them now put an end to all speculations.
Recently, a picture of Rajinikanth floated on the internet where the actor is driving his Lamborghini. He travelled to Kelambakkam of Chengalpattu district with his daughter Soundarya's family. Fans trended this picture all over social media. However, a section of netizens questioned whether Rajini obtained an E-pass from the government to travel within the state. The Chennai Corporation Commissioner has now confirmed that the actor obtained the E-pass. He said that Rajini travelled only after getting permission from the government.
Due to the coronavirus pandemic, the Tamil Nadu state government has made it mandatory for the citizens to obtain a pass to travel from one district to another. Rajini shared his pass on social media. But many people criticized it as it had a lot of mistakes. This raised the question of whether the actor really obtained a pass. To clear off the air, the Chennai Corporation Commissioner came into the picture. He confirmed that Rajini had all the required permissions.
On the work front, Rajini was last seen in the movie Darbar which got released earlier this year. He is now working for Annaatthe, which is being directed by Siva. Nayanthara, Keerthy Suresh, Meena and Kushboo are playing the other important roles in it. The shoot of this film will resume once the pandemic situation gets back to normalcy. Sun Pictures is bankrolling the project. D. Imman is composing the music of it.
