The issue of mental health is currently the talk of B-town post the demise of Sushant Singh Rajput. As per reports, Sushant was allegedly suffering from depression for the past 6 months. Another actress who has publicly talked about her experiences with depression is Deepika Padukone. On hearing about Sushant's news, Deepika offered her insight about mental health awareness. She talked about the do's and don'ts of reaching out to someone.
She took to social media to urge her fans to not treat it simply as sadness. She is constantly posting things on her social media accounts to reduce the stigma around mental health. She was among the very few stars in Bollywood who opened up about their mental struggle in the entertainment industry.
She shared photos that read, "Repeat After Me. Depression is not the same as sadness.” Another photo that Deepika shared read, “Repeat After Me. Depression is not the same as feeling sad.” she informed her fans how important it is teach out to people who are struggling.
During the lockdown, Deepika is with husband Ranveer. On the work front, she signed Shakun Batra’s untitled film starring Ananya Panday and Siddhant Chaturvedi. Produced by Karan Johar it will release in February next year.
