It is going to be a crowded weekend for the theatres in Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. Three Telugu films and two Tamil films are releasing in a span of four days and there is a lack of theatres to accommodate all the films.
Petta Telugu producer Ashok Vallabhaneni is facing the heat and lashed out at top producers Dil Raju and Allu Aravind. He claimed that they are not alloting theatres to Rajinikanth’s Petta despite requesting them multiple times.
The pre-release event of Petta was held recently, but Rajinikanth gave it a miss. At the promo event, Ashok said, “Telangana CM KCR should kill the theatre mafia by encounters as they killed the gangster Nayyem. Dil Raju, Allu Aravind and UV Creations are people who have theatres in hand and they are troubling me. they are not allocating theatres to our film ever after requesting them so many times. Why is the mafia taking control of theatres like this? What will happen to producers like us?”
He also added that Telangana CM KCR and Andhra Pradesh CM N Chandra Babu Naidu to look into this issue to find an amicable solution.
