Director Sukumar made his debut with the film Arya, back in the year 2004. His father plays a very important role in Sukumar shaping his career. Sukumar's father Tirupathi Naidu has helped him in realising the dreams of becoming a filmmaker. Sukumar started his career as a writer and then slowly got a break as a director. Many times in the past, Sukumar revealed how close he is, to his father. And even during the time of Nannaku Prematho. the director shared his relationship with his father. Meanwhile, Sukumar turns Srimanthudu for his village now. In the memory of his father, Tirupathi Naidu, Sukumar is constructing a school building.
Sukumar is holding this construction in his hometown Mattaparru in East Godavari district. Apparently, there is no school in his village and Sukumar is funding 14 lakhs for the construction of the same. It is a two-storey school building and the foundation stone of the school was laid by Razole MLA Rapaka Vara Prasada Rao.
On the work front, Sukumar is currently working for his upcoming film Pushpa. Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna play the lead roles in the film. Devi Sri Prasad is the music director. Mythri Movie Makers is the production house that bankrolls on the film.
