EXCLUSIVE: Kaisi Yeh Yaariaan actor Ayaz Ahmed on industrial pay cut: I'm very careful about the production houses I work with

As many television shows are being rerun on the special demand of the audience, Kaisi Yeh Yaarian, which too has its own share of fans, is one such show which has been given a chance to air again. Actor Ayaz Ahmed, who plays the role of a band member on the show feels grateful to be a part of the show. "You are coming every day on screen, unlike movies which have a shorter actor's presence, so it's an amazing feeling altogether, " says the 33-year old actor.

Talking further about the kind of recognition he got after KYY, Ayaz says, "I have my own set of fans who are with me with every show. They also keep ranting and suggesting a lot of things about my work. However, after Kaisi Yeh Yaarian I've got a permanent set of fan following who have loved my work and have been very loyal to me."

While the television industry is going through a rough patch due to the lockdown, Ayaz says he's been particularly careful about choosing the people he works with. "Yes, I've been affected but not in terms of any injustice. Like the production offices are shut and people aren't working, so naturally, our payments are going to get delayed. One more reason I think for me not being affected this much is that I work with people with whom I've worked in the past. With whom I'm comfortable. Like the last one I worked with, Rashmi Sharma telefilms (Santoshi Maa), they are beautiful people. I've maintained this thing in my career and I'm very clear about the production houses I wanna work in, " he added.

The lockdown period has paved a way for the actor to explore his other sides. Apart from film-making, Ayaz has been writing a novel and a script which he plans to direct in the future. He further adds, "I'm just living my life. Sometimes I wake up and I pen down poetries or I'm working on something. Other days I work and I create content and shoot short films from my home."
