Well, here is a young director, Anil Ravipudi, who is bringing out a multi-starrer with Venkatesh and Varun Tej this Sankranthi. Ask him, if it’s going to fun? He will release a teaser with a catchy line called Anthe ga Anthe ga, to sum up, that it is going to be fun.
The trailer released! Everyone is laughing it out, well because it is just like any other WhatsApp forward that demonizes wives.
Hey young director, why are your thoughts so old and stale? How long are we going to make movies and laugh about how wives are a pain in the husbands’ asses. Isn’t it time, we don’t delineate husband or wife in a negative way but show something very pressing and concrete. Especially at a time and age, where people are looking forward and encouraging meaningful cinemas, why are you just rehashing the old stock and presenting it to us.
How funny is it to show a wife throw everything she finds around her at her husband. How funny is it to portray a man’s life to be drowning post marriage? How funny is it to say that there is nothing but frustration post the nuptial lock?
Is this what we are going to be watching forever on screens? Is there anything new that you can offer us?
Well, it is just a teaser and all we can gather from it is Venkatesh and Varun are initially excited about getting married and once they do, they are seen struggling to cope with the tantrums of their wives played by Tamannah and Mehreen.
Let’s wait until the Sankranthi to watch the real picture. If it’s about bashing wives (in a serious or funny way), it is not going to be cool at all, for, we as youngsters are looking for stimulating content but not WhatsApp jokes.
