In the latest development in Prabhas's disputed property case in the Hyderabad High Court, the council on behalf of the government has filed a counter-petition stating that the actor built his guesthouse on encroached land. Meanwhile, Prabhas's counsel has provided the court with evidence showing that the actor had purchased the land bearing survey number 5/3 from B Vaishnavi Reddy, Usha and B Shashank Reddy in 2005 and that he has been paying property tax and electricity bills ever since. Additionally, a sum of 1.05 crore was spent on regularisation of the land.
The counsel for the government has countered this claim stating that the regularisation is available only for the person below the poverty line. The next hearing is scheduled for December 31st.
Revenue officials have seized 84 acres of land based on the orders of the supreme court which state that the land of survey number 46 belongs to the government.
