AMB Cinemas, a joint venture of Super star Mahesh Babu and Asian Cinemas was inaugurated in a grand ceremony yesterday that had veteran actor, Krishna as the chief guest. Situated at Gachibowli, the multiplex was in construction for the last two years while groundwork had begun nearly four years ago.
Built on an area of 60,000 square feet, the multiplex boasts of seven screens of which one is a Laser screen and one is an exclusive VIP screen with 52 recliners. Built with a budget of 80 crores, the multiplex offers facilities on par with seven star hotels with lush interiors, with inputs from foreign consultancies and bigwigs from Mumbai.
Mahesh Babu and Sunil from Asian Cinemas are the only two partners while it seems there are two more persons with some stake in the venture. The land was acquired on a shared basis instead of having it leased out. Apart from land costs, an additional 80 crore was spent on construction. Going by the pictures, the multiplex looks plush and regal. The opulence is alluring and people are waiting to have an experience of the multiplex.
