A lot of celebrities have been feeling the heat of the lockdown and the lack of work has affected their mental health. After the shocking demise of Sushant Singh, a lot of focus is being paid to this aspect of the life of the actors. To not let the pandemic anxiety reach her, Ileana spent time with her mother in the US. Talking about the same, she told a leading tabloid, “I met my mom, brother, and sister after a long time. I felt such an overwhelming sense of relief on seeing them. It’s only after meeting them that I could breathe again in peace. I didn’t realize how much I needed it. I was trying to be strong when I was alone for five months during the lockdown. I was pushing myself, saying that I can survive without seeing my family. But when we reunited, I wondered how I functioned without them.”
There, Ileana felt rejuvenated after spending quality time with her mother and eating her food. "I remember how mom chased me around the house for the initial one week, looking for an opportunity to hug me. But I’d run away from her, reminding her that I had to be quarantined," she recalled.
The time has been none other than therapeutic for her, reveals the actress. "The family time did wonder for my mental health. For me, spending time with family is therapeutic! It’s the most soothing thing in the world,” she says, adding that she will be back in the US with her family by the year-end end. “I have decided that I am going to end the year with my family by my side. Also, December is Christmas time, and I always bring in the festival with my folks, ” she concluded. Currently, Ileana is shooting for her upcoming film Unfair and Lovely.
