Mughal-e-Azam is a super hit film in Hindi. The film released in 1960, on this day and it completes 60 years today. K. Asif is the director of the movie and produced by Shapoorji Pallonji. The movie has a lot of stalwarts playing the lead roles. Starring Prithviraj Kapoor, Dilip Kumar, Madhubala and Durga Khote, the film has got an amazing story. The film depicts the love story of Mughal Prince Salim and Anarkali, a court dancer. Mughal-e-Azam is the first-ever commercial blockbuster of Indian cinema.
 
Prithviraj Kapoor and Dilip Kumar did the roles of Akbar and Salim respectively. Back then, the makers spent a huge budget on the film. Also, the makers made a huge profit of 30 lakhs in those days. The movie released all over the country. The film was strong in terms of technical aspects too. The film still remains as one of the super classics of all-time in Indian film history.
