International Yoga Day 2020: Tollywood starlets Rakul Preet Singh, Ruhani Sharma and Lakshmi Manchu talk about what Yoga means to them

Bollywood has Shilpa Shetty and Malaika Arora advocating for Yoga. Similarly, Tollywood too has fitness and wellness-oriented starlets who share their experiences with Yoga and also talk about what Yoga means to them. Rakul Preet Singh, Ruhani Sharma, and Lakshmi Manchu have shared photos and videos of their Yoga journey with their fans all along the way. Today, on International Yoga Day, Rakul Preet Singh, Ruhani Sharma, and Lakshmi Manchu shared their experiences and what Yoga has done for them, in terms of physical and mental well being!

Rakul Preet Singh shared a photo of her striking a Yoga pose on a bright sunny day outside and took to the caption to talk about the union of body and soul. She wrote, "TRUE YOGA is not about the shape of your body but the SHAPE of your LIFE, it’s not about touching your toes but what you learn on the way down. You can’t always control what goes on outside but you can control what goes on inside. Sink into the stillness and celebrate this union of mind, body, and soul to self reflect and vibrate at the highest frequency of life at all times #happyinternationalyogaday and thankuuuuuu my soul sista @anshukayoga for making yoga my way of life ."

Ruhani Sharma too shared a similar photo of her holding a Yoga Pose on her terrace. Along with the photo, she wrote what Yoga does for her while wishing everyone a Happy International Yoga Day! Ruhani wrote, "Yoga practice takes you into the present moment. The only place where life exists. Happy international yoga day ."

Lakshmi Manchu shared a video of her performing the Surya Namaskar. In her caption, Lakshmi talks of the significance of Surya Namaskar. Lakshmi Manchu wrote, "Surya Namaskar also known as sun salutation and it is one of the most basic and strongest practices of Yoga. This practice doesn't require any equipment as it is a complete and comprehensive exercise and anybody can attempt this practice. Surya Namaskar has 12 steps and a mantra for each step. The mantra represents 12 zodiac signs which supplies energy to the body. It is about building a dimension in yourself to sync your physical body with the solar cycle. Most asanas start with a few rounds of Surya Namaskar. Surya Namaskar is designed in such a way that it makes your energies radiate like the sun. This practice helps me stay fit, keeps my skin healthy, makes me calmer and boosts my energy levels.

As we celebrate #InternationalYogaDay, let's inhale positivity and exhale negativity. I share this love and peace with all of you. Om Shanti! ."
