The action flick Mumbai Saga's shooting was to take place in the city of Hyderabad. However, the film's director Sanjay Gupta
has revealed the team has decided to cancel the shoot due to the high risk resulting from the spike in coronavirus cases. The gangster film starring John Abraham
and Emraan Hashmi in the lead was one of the few Bollywood films expected to resume shooting soon.
The team was all set to kick-start shooting at Ramoji Film City in Hyderabad. Director Sanjay Gupta said that with the rise in positive cases, they don't think it's wise for the whole team to travel. The team of Mumbai Saga had planned a 14-day shoot. With the shoot now canceled, the team might resume shooting in Mumbai itself. Sanjay also said that the cast and crew were quite excited to shoot in Hyderabad. But they can not go ahead with the plan as it puts everyone’s health at risk.
The director also mentioned that the team is now considering other spots like Mehboob, Essel, and Film City to finish up the last leg of shooting after August 15th.
