Yash Starrer KGF Chapter 1, continues to have a dream run at the box office, director Prashanth Neel is already thinking ahead. The film is breaking all the records in all areas and is expected to reach the Rs 150 crore- mark this week.
According to the distributors, the film, which had an India wide release, which had created new records in the Kannada industry, breaking Yash’s own record as well as that of the last film made under Hombale Films. The Kannada film, which was dubbed and released in 4 other languages, has made a collection of Rs.50 crore in just 3 days, and has crossed Rs 100 crore Mark in just 7 days.
In this reason the makers will planning the Next schedule, and will be getting into action with Chapter 2 shortly. 15% of KGF Chapter 2 has already been shot, the rest of the shoot will be done during summer — either start at the end of March or April 1st week.
KGF Chapter 2 will repeat the same cast & crew, technical team, including cinematographer Bhuvan Gowda, music director Ravi Basrur and art director Shivakumar. In addition, some new faces will also be introduced, and the casting is still ongoing.
The film, made under Hombale Films, has seen a steady run at the box office, which is likely to continue till Sankranti, which is when big films in Telugu and Tamil will hit the screens. Meanwhile, KGF was released in Malaysia and Dubai, and will release soon in Sri Lanka, Singapore and Australia.
It seems that china industry showing interest in releasing KGF in their language.“Knowing that China has a lot of rules and regulations with regard to films releasing in their country, this might take some time. Producer Vijay Kiragandur will take the final call,” sources say.
