After celebrities like Anubhav Kashyap and Sonu Nigam spoke openly about nepotism in Bollywood, other less known people have also shared their own stories. Late actor Inder Kumar's wife Pallavi recently took to social media to share her personal experience of witnessing nepotism in the Hindi film industry. Pallavi recalled that Inder wanted to do big scale films and approached Karan Johar as well as Shah Rukh Khan. According to Pallavi both of them promised to help her husband but later ignored him and his talent completely.
In the post Pallavi wrote, "These days everyone is talking about.. Nepotism.... Just like Sushant Singh Rajput my husband late actor Inder Kumar achieved his fame on his own. He was at a peak in 90s. Before he passed away I still remember he went to 2 people big shots asking for work as help (sic)."
Slamming Karan Johar and Shah Rukh Khan for making fake promises Pallavi said, "Can one imagine and believe dat there has not been any work available in these two production houses (sic)."
In her post, Pallavi also said that Karan Johar made Inder and herself wait for two hours. Later when Karan finally met them he asked Inder to remain in contact with his manager Garima. Pallavi also said that in just 15 days Garima blocked Inder from contacting Karan Johar.
Actor Inder Kumar died on July 28, 2017 after a cardiac arrest at his home in Mumbai. He was seen in supporting roles in Hindi films such as Wanted, Tumko Na Bhool Paayenge, Kahin Pyaar Na Ho Jaaye, and Khiladiyon Ka Khiladi.
