Malayalam film Helen to get remade in Hindi; Janhvi Kapoor keen on playing Anna Ben's role in the project

Malayalam Helen is one of the best survival thrillers ever made in the Indian film industry, in recent times. Starring the youth sensation Anna Ben in the lead role, the film released last year and witnessed huge profits. Mathukutty Xavier made his debut as a director with the film. Popular actor Vineeth Sreenivasan produced the film under Habit of Life and Big Bang Entertainments. The film is getting remade into other South languages and the latest news is that the film goes Bollywood too. Janhvi Kapoor is the front-runner to reprise Anna Ben's role for the Hindi version.

Helen tells the story of an independent young girl Helen (played by Anna Ben) who gets trapped in cold storage at her workplace. Upon the release, the movie opened to positive reviews. Later, the film released on Amazon Prime Video and impressed the non-Malayalam audiences too. Janhvi happened to watch the film and expressed interest to do the film.

After her first film Dhadak, Janhvi is now excited about her second film, which releases on Netflix next month. Titled Gunjan Saxena, the movie is based on the life story of India’s first female Air Force pilot Gunjan Saxena who participated in the Kargil war.

Most likely, after the release of this movie, we may expect an announcement on Helen's remake in Hindi.
