The Tirumala Tirupati Devastanam board has decided to sell its 50 immovable assets in Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu. This decision came in as a shocker for many devotees and even normal people. Till now, TTD hasn't given a solid explanation for this act. Meanwhile, actor Manchu Manoj expressed his disappointment over this decision. He also requested the board to give an explanation about it.
Manoj shared a note regarding this issue. He started off his statement by offering salutations to Lord Venkateshwara. He then wrote, 'Did the Lord ask to sell TTD's properties? Did the Lord ask to feed one lakh, people, a day during this corona crisis? These are all the acts and words of TTD's board. The board is the one that controls all the assets throughout the world, devotees who visit Tirumala and even wakes up the Almighty at the early hours of Suprabhata Aarthi. It is a bit difficult to digest the fact that the Lord's assets are now under sale. I know that there is no conspiracy behind it. All the sales will happen through an auction in a transparent way. But why are they selling? The board should answer this. An explanation, that's it. Nothing more than that. I am just asking as a normal man from Tirupati. Jai Hind.'
On the flip side, it is being heard that TTD took this decision due to the COVID-19 crisis. However, many people are quite upset with the decision and we have to see what happens in the coming days.
