2013 Malayalam film Drishyam is often considered as one of the best thrillers made in Indian cinema. Directed by Jeethu Joseph, this movie featured Mohanlal and Meena in the lead roles. It was a huge hit at the box office. Even critics have lauded the film. Drishyam got remade in various languages like Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, and Kannada. Now, Jeethu Joseph is canning the sequel of this movie. According to the latest reports, the shoot of this movie will begin on September 7.
Both Mohanlal and Meena will reprise their roles from the original. The makers earlier planned to take the film on the floors on August 17. However, the heavy rainfall in Kerala and the rise in the coronavirus cases made the team to postpone their plans. As of now, they are planning to start filming on September 7. But it again depends on the situation at that time. The shoot will happen at Thodupuzha, the place where the first part got filmed. An official announcement about the film's shoot will be out in a few days.
We hear that the makers will take necessary precautions while shooting. Most of the film will get filmed indoors. It will be a continuation of the first part and will not feature a completely different story. Ansiba Hassan and Esther Anil will play the other important roles in the movie. Aashirvad Cinemas will bankroll the project.
