At the career front, Akkineni Nagarjuna has been going through back to back duds. His last flick, Devadas, RGV’s Officer too didn’t fair as expected at the box office.
He is now working in different languages- Mohanlal’s Marrakar and Bollywood director Ayan Mukherjee’s Brahmastra. He has not signed any film in his home industry.
He has two scripts on his desk- both of them are sequels. The actor hasn’t chosen one yet. In the meanwhile, his Tamil project with Dhanush got shelved.
A multi-starrer with Dhanush which launched on a grand note is said to be taken aback step. In fact, the movie had names like Sarath Kumar, SK Surya, Srikanth, and Aditi Rao Hydari. With Mersal and Sarkar burning the pockets of Thenandal Films, they had decided to back out. In fact, a bit of shooting was also done.
Looks like Nagarjuna has only two movies in hand now and it is sad to see how a hero like Nag is going through slumps like this. Well, we are sure he will be back in form, in his home language too.
