Jersey is one of the most acclaimed Telugu films in recent times. Directed by Gautham Tinnanuri, this film featured Nani and Shraddha Srinath as the leads. This 2019 sports-drama was a big hit at the box office as well. Now, another feather got added to its cap. Jersey will get screened in the prestigious International Indian Toronto Film Festival that is going to happen in Canada.
This film festival begins on the 9th of August and concludes on the 15th. The organizers have selected a bunch of Indian movies that were critically and popularly acclaimed last year. Jersey is one of them. This is quite a big achievement for the film and the team is happy about it. Jersey is the story of a middle-aged man who decides to restart his cricketing career upon the request of his son. Nani's soulful performance is the main asset of this movie. It is an emotional roller coaster ride that will take you on a tearful journey.
Jersey is now getting remade in Hindi as well. Gautham is helming this project as well. Shahid Kapoor is reprising the role of Nani. Mrunal Thakur is playing the female lead in it. The shoot of this movie is in the mid-way stages. It was initially slated for the release on August 28th this year. However, it got postponed due to the pandemic and the lockdown.
