Netizens call Suriya the modern Nostradamus as his movies dealt with the concepts of virus pandemic and locust swarms way before they happened in real life

Sometimes, movies predict instances that will happen in the coming days. When that particular instance happens, we get a deja-vu feeling about that movie. Hero Suriya predicted quite a few instances of ways before they started making headlines in media. Right from the coronavirus pandemic to the locust swarm attack, Suriya's movies have predicted everything way before they happened in real life. Currently, memes are being made calling Suriya as Nostradamus and these memes are going viral on social media.

Suriya came up with the film Seventh Sense in 2011. This AR Murugadoss directorial film deals with a Chinese virus which creates a bio-war between India and China. The spread of the coronavirus is happening in the same way as the virus spreads in the film. In his 2019 film Kaappaan (Bandobast in Telugu), Suriya talks about how locust swarms attack the agricultural fields and how can they cause a lot of damage. Now, we are witnessing these attacks in the Northern part of India.

Suriya's 2012 film Maattrran talks about the ban of Russia in the Olympics. Now, Russia got banned from all the global sporting events for the next four years. All these instances are now making fans call Suriya the Nostradamus. We have to see if the actor responds to any of these memes. On the professional front, Suriya is currently awaiting the release of his next film Soorarai Pottru. Directed by Sudha Kongara, this film will hit the screens post the lockdown. Suriya has also signed a film called Aruvaa in the direction of Hari.
