The ongoing Coronavirus pandemic has not just forced people into a forced lockdown but also ripped many of their creativity and the motivation to work. However, this doesn't seem to apply to Himesh Reshammiya according to his own self. The singer and actor is extremely active on social media and regularly shares updates from his home with his fans and followers.
In a new interview, the famous Hindi music composer and singer has revealed that he has composed 300 new songs while in lockdown. Speaking in an interview with The Indian Express he said, "Music is definitely a calming force. I have composed about 700 songs for a very big project, including 300 new songs during this lockdown. This project has inspired me to create new compositions. Now, I’m really looking forward to announcing that project because it is a complete game changer. It has some great melodies which are necessary for the music market in today’s times."
"Music in India needs to completely become independent. And it has started to be. As compared to how music functions throughout the world, India has different kinds of rules. Here it is more film dominated. But, independent music will take over the scene very soon, " he added.
However, his comment about writing 300 new songs has caught the attention of many netizens. Now the internet cannot stop trolling Himesh Reshammiya. One user wrote, "Himesh Reshammiya has composed 300 songs in lockdown...Another Pandemic awaits us (sic)," another tweeted, "Himesh Reshammiya: I have composed 300 new songs during lockdown. Tweeps, wait for another pandemic after a corona."
