Director Pawan Kumar made a striking debut into the film industry with the 2013 movie Lucia. This crowd-funded Kannada thriller got huge critical acclaim. Later, Pawan made another thriller called U-Turn in 2016. He then remade the same film in Telugu with Samantha as the lead. The director's next project is C10H14N2 (Nicotine). Pawan initially planned to take this film on the floors in April. But the coronavirus pandemic has ruined all the plans. He now says that the movie may not get launched until October or November this year.
Speaking in an interview with the Times of India, Pawan Kumar stated that he had finalized all the cast and crew as well as the locations of C10H14N2. He shared the script with technicians and cast. They planned schedules and everything was set to launch the film on April 15. But the lockdown happened and the plans went into vain. Now, Pawan is planning to start shooting towards the end of this year.
During this lockdown, Pawan Kumar started the filmmakers' club. Titled the Filmmakers United Club (FUC), this club now has over 30 members working across various regional film industries. Pawan says that he is staying busy all day with the works of this club. His goal is to collaborate with various other filmmakers on multiple projects, through this club. The club members want to work together on a megaproject. More details of it will be out soon.
