Payal Rajput, who made a huge splash on the big screen with her debut in RX100, was said to be scouting for new roles for her upcoming films. Not wanting to be stereotyped, she refused a lot of offers from directors who had offered her a role similar to the one she played in RX100. She was keen to take on a role that would allow her to experiment with her acting skills and expand her horizons.
The actress has now signed on for a film with Ravi Teja in which she will be playing the role of a visual and hearing impaired girl. VI Anand will be directing the film and he has ensured that Payal's character will have the depth needed for her to pull off an endearing performance. The actress, impressed with the way the role has been shaped out and it is an integral part of the script, has enrolled in an acting workshop to learn the body language, attitude and living style of the visual and hearing impaired. Produced by Ram Talluri, the film will also star Nabha Natesh and Priyanka Jawalkar in leading roles.
