Director Karthik Subbaraj’s Petta seems to be ruling the social media for the past two days. Yesterday, a single track called Marana Mass was released and received nearly 5 millions views on YouTube in just 24 hours.
 
Today, the makers have revealed Vijay Sethupathi’s character name in the film. He plays the main antagonist named Jithu in the village. In the poster, he’s holding a gun and has a shawl covering him from something.
 
The latest poster seems to have gotten the fans excited. It’ll be interesting to see Rajinikanth pitted against Vijay Sethupathi in Petta. Fans in Tamil Nadu are extremely fond of both these actors and it’ll be exciting to see them share screen space together.
 
From Marana Mass single, we know that Rajinikanth is playing the role of Kaali. In the coming weeks, we can expect more announcements regarding Petta.
 
Petta, produced by Sun Pictures, boasts an ensemble cast including Rajinikanth, Vijay Sethupathi, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Trisha, Simran, Bobby Simhaa and Malavika Mohanan un significant roles. This action film will release on Pongal 2019 along with Ajith’s Viswasam.
