The Hyderabad High Court today granted temporary relief to Actor Prabhas stating that he could stay in his Serlingampally guesthouse until the conclusion of the case.
The actor had challenged the action of the district revenue authorities who had seized land measuring 2083 square yards without any prior notice based on the order of a district court. The bench of judges comprising of Justice V. Ramasubramanian and Justice P. Keshava Rao ruled in favor of Prabhas after his legal counsel had argued that the actor was paying property tax, electricity bills and other charges related to the property and seizing of the land without any prior notice was uncalled for.
The bench further directed the state government to file a counter petition by December 24th and scheduled the next hearing for December 31st. Seeing as how the hearing would prolong, the bench granted Prabhas use of the guesthouse till the case is concluded.
