Superstar Rajinikanth’s Petta is another Thalaivar that has released in a span of two months. His fans are enjoying to the fullest as three Rajini films released within a year, which wasn’t the case before.
 
Petta, directed by Karthik Subbaraj, hit the theatres on January 10 alongside Viswasam. The film starring Rajinikanth, Vijay Sethupathi and Nawazuddin Siddiqui has been receiving positive reviews from the audience and critics alike.
 
Superstar Rajinikanth touched down Chennai yesterday night at 8:30. He met the press at the airport and spoke about the success of Petta.
 
He said, “People have liked the film. All thanks to them and credit goes to Sun Pictures, Karthik Subbaraj and the entire unit. Karthik pushed me for each and every scene to bring bring back vintage Rajini and the style so that the fans would love it. And, I have heard that the audiences are loving it and I’m very happy.”
 
Petta, produced by Sun Pictures, also stars Trisha, Simran, Megha Akash, Sasikumar, Bobby Simhaa, Malavika Mohanlal and Sananth in important roles.
