Rajinikanth’s 2.0 goes to China

Director Shankar’s 2.0, which released on November 29 worldwide, is raking in the moolah. In just 4 days, the film has crossed Rs 400 crore mark and is onn the process of shattering several box office records.
 
The latest announcement is that 2.0 will get a grand release in China in May 2019. Lyca Productions, in a statement, confirmed the same and revealed the production house’s detailed plan.
 
According to the statement, Lyca has partnered with HY Media to ensure that 2.0 gets a grand release. 2.0 will be dubbed and released in whopping 56,000 screens across China. Out of these 56,000 screens, the film will release in 47,000 screens in 3D.
 
Lyca Productions also added that China seems to be a viable market for Tamil films and is eager on building a strong relationship with HY Media for future films.
 
2.0 is a sci-fi film that starred Rajinikanth, Akshay Kumar and Amy Jackson in the lead roles. The film is about the harmful radiations emitting from mobile phone towers and its effects on birds.
