Recent Malayalam hit Ayyappanum Koshiyum has become a hot cake in the remake market. Already, the makers from Tamil, Telugu, and Hindi film industries have bought the remake rights of this movie. Suryadevara Naga Vamsi of Sithara Entertainments has bought the remake rights of the Telugu version. If the latest grapevine is anything to go by, Mass Raja Ravi Teja
and Baahubali star Rana Daggubati
are going to play the lead roles in this movie.
The original version had Prithviraj Sukumaran and Biju Menon in the lead roles. We hear that Rana will essay Prithviraj's role. On the flip side, Ravi Teja will play the character of Biju Menon. According to the sources, the makers had already made talks with both the actors and it seems that they have given their nod for it. If everything falls in place, this film will go on floors by the end of this year.
Ayyappannum Koshiyum is the tale of ego-clashes between a police officer and Havaldar. This action thriller got released earlier this year. Upon its release, Ayyappanum Koshiyum garnered a unanimous positive response from the viewers and went on to become a blockbuster at the box office. It got directed by Sachy.
The director of the Telugu version is yet to get fixed. Meanwhile, popular Bollywood actor John Abraham bagged the Hindi remake rights of this film. He will play one of the leads in it and another lead is yet to get fixed. The film will go on floors in a couple of months.
