A few weeks ago, Baahubali actor Prabhas’s farmhouse in Hyderabad was seized by revenue officials and was sealed. Prabhas and his team moved High Court to deal with this issue.
In the hearing held recently, Justice V Ramasubramanian and Justice P Keshava Rao listened to the explanations from both sides before pronouncing the judgment. They said that the action was taken against Prabhas and his farmhouse as illegal.
A senior counsel Prabhas’ case said that the land was purchased by lawful means and was constructed according to the laws. He further added that the owner had applied for regularisation of the land from the government.
The counsel representing Telangana Government said that Prabhas purchased the land by violating laws. The HC bench pointed out that the government should have sent interim orders and then take action if there was no response from his side.
The Bench also asked that if it was poor, would they be able to afford to put on a legal battle?
