Tropical Cyclone Amphan has affected the coastal regions of East India and Bangladesh. The cyclone in Bengal and Odisha has created huge chaos incurring huge losses and death rate. The news is all over the media and the central government also released 1000 cr for the relief activities of the same. A lot of celebrities are stepping forward to extend their support.
On this note, Bollywood Baadshah Shah Rukh Khan came forward to help the people. SRK who is the West Bengal brand ambassador has extended his helping hand towards the cities affected by Amphan. His Meer Foundation and Indian Premier League’s cricket team 'Kolkata Knight Riders' is going to plant nearly 5000 trees in Kolkata. Also, an undisclosed amount has been transferred to the Chief Minister’s relief fund. The ration and other essential supplies will also be provided to locals of Kolkata, North and South 24 Parganas and East Medinipur.
SRK's kind gestures never fail to win the hearts. A few weeks ago, Meer Foundation has contributed 50,000 PPE kits to West Bengal amid the Coronavirus pandemic.
