The ongoing situation on the borders of India and China has led to some drastic measures taken by the government. On Monday, the government of India decided to ban 59 Chinese apps including famous ones like Tik Tok, Shein, Club Factory, etc. While some people are hailing this move, others are upset because of their favorite app Tik Tok getting banned. Around 130 million Indians used the app and it became a source of income too for a lot of them.
Herself being a Tik Tok star once, actress Shamita Shetty reacts to this decision. She told a leading tabloid, "In light of what’s happening at the Galwan valley, I support the government’s decision. As far as TikTok is concerned, I had naturally stopped posting a while ago... was just not very happy with everything I was watching on the news. From what I have understood, there are some security issues with our data being compromised with these apps so I guess it’s the right decision to ban them till they prove otherwise."
Earlier in the day actress, Kangana Ranaut too hailed the decision. She said she's elated by the decision and it's good if we cut the ties of China from our roots. Some television actors are also supporting this action by our honorable prime minister Narendra Modi.
