From the last couple of days, it is being reported in media that popular composer Shashi Preetam is doing unwell and is in a critical stage. The music director himself has come out to clarify on his health. He said that he had a heart attack and underwent surgery in Century Hospitals. He also added that he is getting discharged today. Shashi thanked everyone who prayed for me during this time of the crisis.
In a specially released video, Shashi said, "I suffered from a heart stroke on last Thursday. Immediately, I got admitted to Century Hospitals in Banjara Hills. The doctors here have taken care of me well and performed the surgery. They have placed a stent as well. I'm getting discharged today. I am very thankful to everyone who prayed for me. Thank you once again for being with me at the time of this crisis."
During the past few days, Shashi was under the care of Dr. Ameenuddin Owaisi. Speaking about Shashi's health, Owaisi said, "Shashi had come to us on the morning of the 4th of June. He came with the problem of having chest pain. We did checkups and found that he had a heart attack. We did an angiogram. After that, we had to place a stent. After the procedure, Shashi got kept in the ICU for 24 hours under observation. He is doing great. He got improved well. He is walking and is perfectly fine. He has not shown any symptoms of other issues. We are discharging him today."
Shashi has composed music for films like Gulabi, Samudram and Raghava.
