Sivakarthikeyan's Seema Raja went on to set the box office on fire despite receiving mixed reviews from the critics and public. The actor appeared in an extended cameo in his debut production venture titled Kanaa.
Kanaa, directed by Arunraja Kamaraj, stars Aishwarya Rajesh, Sathyaraj and Sivakarthikeyan in pivotal roles. The film, which released on December 21, was appreciated for its bold content and a fresh take on women's cricket.
Reportedly, Sivakarthikeyan was overwhelmed with the reception his film Kanaa has been receiving. He took to Twitter to share his positive emotions. He said, "Thanks to everyone who made tis dream come true for our Kanaa team.. Thanks to everyone who believed us and came to theatres..Thanks to everyone who gave their tears, laughs & claps as their reward to us (sic)"
In the film, Aishwarya Rajesh plays a off-spin bowler, who hails from a poor economical background. She is passionate about cricket and struggles hard to prove herself.
