Sonam Kapoor, Kalki Koechlin and other Bollywood celebrities signed an online petition to stop cyber harassment of women

Following the death of Sushant Singh Rajput many trolls on the Internet have severely harassed Rhea Chakraborty, Sonam Kapoor among others.

Sonam Kapoor, Kalki Koechlin and other Bollywood celebrities signed an online petition to stop cyber harassment of women

An online petition is trending on the Internet for the last couple of days which demands justice for women facing cyberbullying and harassment. The petition calls out those people who bully and troll women online. The petition demands to stop the cyber harassment of all women.
 
Actress Sayani Gupta revealed that she has signed the petition and wrote, “Speak Up! Stand Up for #indiaagainstabuse... We, as equal members of society, demand for a Rape & Death threat free internet. If you also think targeted abuse and harassment of women on social media needs to stop, sign the petition & become a part of #IndiaAgainstAbuse.”
 
 
 
Kalki Koechlin also shared a video of herself talking about the entire ordeal. She said, "If you're sick of sexual harassment, violent threats, and misogyny online and want to see law enforcement agencies and media platforms come together to take legal action instead of everyone slinging more mud at each other on the internet, please consider signing the petition #indiaagainstabuse."
 
Maanvi Gagroo wrote, “We, as equal members of society, demand for a Rape & Death threat free internet. If you also think targeted abuse and harassment of women on social media needs to stop, sign the petition & become a part of #IndiaAgainstAbuse."
 
Sonam Kapoor who is often the victim of online bullying also wrote,"Enough is Enough! It's time we put an end to targeted abuse & harassment women face online every day. Join me & stand for #IndiaAgainstAbuse."
 
The petition reads, “We need strong deterrents; we need an end to the impunity that exists against online violence and abuse against women. We, the concerned citizens, of all genders, demand a safe and equal space for women online.”
