The entertainment industry has been badly hit by the Coronavirus crisis. Since the shooting has been halted, makers are short of money, actors are unemployed, the industry is facing the heat. And now according to the latest report, some Hindi television shows, which were airing regularly before the lockdown, will not return to screen post lockdown. Three shows of Sony TV have been finalized for cancellation as per the makers. "Isharon Isharon Mein, Beyhadh 2 and Patiala Babes are finite fiction shows and the nature and the pace of the narrative is time-bound. Given that all shoots have been stalled since March, owing to the unprecedented situation we are in, these shows couldn’t shoot their logical ends... keeping best interests of all in mind and in a joint agreement with the producers, it has been decided to terminate these shows, as of now, " the official statement read.

Mudit Nayar who starred in Isharon Isharon Me said, "The units will be shorter now for future shows, and members cut down to half. I am sure the shows which are doing well, channels will back them up, but the ones who are standing cost is not worth it, they will take them off. I don’t think it’s the channel’s mistake. There’s no certainty on when shoots will resume."

A leading entertainment portal also connected with the operators of Colors channel. However, the channel hasn't cut down on its shows yet. They said, "We have temporarily stopped airing them considering there is no bank, but all would be resumed, none has gone off air.”
