Vantha Rajavathan Varuven teaser review: Simbu packs punch in this family drama

Simbu, whose is known to get embroiled in several controversies, is on a signing spree. It is rumoured that the actor has recently signed three projects and is said to be in talks with Mani Ratnam for a big-budget film as well.
 
The actor, who was last seen in Mani Ratnam's Chekka Chivantha Vaanam, is currently shooting for Tamil film Vantha Rajavathan Varuven, directed by Sundar C. The teaser of this commercial potboiler was released on YouTube and social media platforms today.
 
The teaser is going viral on all social media platforms. Going by the video, it looks like Simbu has let lose in this venture. He is completely in his element and having fun on screen. There are right proportion of action, comedy, love and sentiment sequences in this film. It looks like Simbu will own this film with his explosive performance.
 
Megha Akash and Catherine Tresa add the necessary glam factor and there are a horde of comedians to provide comic relief. Vantha Rajavathan Varuven will be a perfect Pongal release which we can devour with our family.
 
Lyca Productions, who funded Rajinikanth's 2.0, has bankrolled this film. So, the teaser of Vantha Rajavathan Varuven was attached to 2.0 and was screened in theatres. However, it is getting a social media release only today.
 
Vantha Rajavathan Varuven is a Tamil remake of Telugu hit film Attarintiki Daredi, which had Pawan Kalyan and Samantha in the lead roles.
 
The Tamil version has Simbu, Megha Akaksh, Catherine Tresa, Mahat Raghavendra, Robo Shankar and Yogi Babu in significant roles
