Varun Dhawan refutes rumours of his father David Dhawan making the remake of Namak Halaal starring Amitabh Bachchan

As Varun Dhawan and Sara Ali Khan are all set for the release of their film Coolie No.1, there was news doing rounds that Varun will also star in the remake of Namak Halaal. It was said that the film will be made by none other than his father David Dhawan who's really interested in the modern-day remake of Namak Halaal. But looks like the news was fabricated and there is no truth to this. Confirms Varun himself.

On Wednesday, Varun Dhawan took to his social media to dismiss all fake news related to the film and requested the news agencies to not make any fabricated stories about his dad. He wrote, "Guys u can write how many ever make-belief stories about me but don’t makeup things about my dad. This is a completely fabricated story will see u Christmas (Christmas tree emoji) to make u laugh," wrote Varun Dhawan.

Meanwhile, Varun seems very excited for his much-awaited film Coolie No.1. The film is all set to release digitally on Amazon Prime Video on Christmas. The film has been directed by his father David Dhawan and it is the remake of the classic 90s film starring Govinda and Karisma Kapoor. Stay tuned with us for more latest updates on Bollywood.
